Job Description As a Retail Territory Manager, you are the heartbeat of Mondelēz’s in-store success. You lead the charge in delivering world‑class Direct Store Delivery (DSD) execution—bringing beloved brands to life on shelves across your territory. From building strong customer relationships to driving flawless retail execution, you make every store visit count. This role blends strategy, agility, and people skills—you’re energizing the territory, optimizing displays, solving challenges on the fly, and collaborating with retail teams to drive success. Responsibilities Deliver monthly and quarterly sales targets, unlocking growth across assigned accounts using retail selling methodologies and executing customer plans. Manage and inspire a team of full‑time and part‑time Merchandisers, from hiring and coaching to performance development. Ensure flawless rollout of sales priorities and merchandising programs in‑store. Provide expert, on‑site sales consultation to customers, securing incremental opportunities and executing HQ programs. Develop data‑driven sales strategies tailored to store demographics and customer needs to fuel territory expansion. Build strong partnerships with store personnel to identify opportunities and deliver top‑tier service. Strategically deploy merchandisers and order writers to maximize shelf impact and sales volume. Oversee product ordering, display execution, and unsaleable management in collaboration with Full‑Time Order Writers (FTOWs). Design and execute a smart store schedule to strengthen relationships and drive results. Operate within Mondelēz International’s safety and operational guidelines. Requirements At least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license issued by the state of residence. High School Diploma or GED required; college degree highly preferred. Flexible work schedule required, including weekends and holidays. 3‑5 years of selling experience with a strong sales background and excellent understanding of business processes and systems. Physical ability to lift, bend, and carry up to 25 lbs., occasionally over 50 lbs., push, pull, and perform other manual tasks. Successful completion of drug test, motor vehicle record check, and general background check. Mondelez International offers a company vehicle, including a gas card and vehicle maintenance program. Territory Cities covered in this territory (required to be located within 40 miles of one of the following): CA, Eureka CA, Crescent City CA, Fortuna CA, McKinleyville CA, Arcata OR, Brookings Salary and Benefits The base salary range for this position in California is $70,304 to $77,275; for other states in this territory it is $56,200 to $77,275. The exact salary depends on experience, skills, education, and location. In addition to base salary, the position is eligible for a highly competitive bonus program with overachievement potential based on performance and company results.
