Registered Nurse - Oncology

Job Summary:
Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Bone Marrow Transplant unit at Methodist Hospital. The role involves providing specialized oncology care, including chemotherapy administration and central line management, for a 13-week assignment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy and other cancer treatments following established protocols.
• Manage central lines, mediports, and perform lab draws with precision.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to symptoms, and document changes accurately.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
• Follow all safety, infection control, and unit-specific policies consistently.
• Float as needed, adhering to Methodist Hospital's floating policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Texas RN license with active status.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, with at least 2 years in oncology.
• Proficient in chemotherapy administration and central line management.
• BLS certification required; chemosafety certification preferred.
• Excellent assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adhere to strict safety and dress code policies.
