Tooling Technician

Professional Attributes Clear reporting of tool status and issues to production and engineering teams, effective collaboration with machinists and maintenance personnel. Able to explain tooling changes, setups, and preventive actions in teams meetings, supports documentation for tooling reviews and audits Skilled in using CAD/CAM software and tooling management systems. Familiar with CNC machine interfaces and measurement tools. Use wear data and production feedback to optimize tool performance. Desired Skills And Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical degree or certification in Tooling, Machining, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Tooling Technician, Mold Technician, or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Hands‑on experience in injection molding or related processes and tooling systems. Experience with mold repair, preventive maintenance, and tooling setup is essential. Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with a deep understanding of tooling, molds, and machining techniques. Proficient in using precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, CMMs) to check tooling accuracy.
