If you're a diesel mechanic or heavy-duty truck mechanic who knows how to diagnose problems, make quality repairs, and keep equipment operating safely, this is an opportunity to put those skills to work on a ready mix fleet.We're looking for a dependable Diesel Mechanic to join our Indianapolis team.

You'll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and light electrical problems, and repair the heavy-duty trucks and equipment that keep daily operations moving.This is a full-time, day-shift position typically M-F, (although, Saturday work may be required occasionally) for a hands-on mechanic who takes pride in quality repairs, safe work, and keeping equipment ready for the road.Why You'll Want This Job Full-time, Monday–Friday schedule

• Some Saturdays (Paid OT on Saturday)Day shiftWork on heavy-duty ready mix trucks and equipmentPerform hands-on diagnostics, maintenance, and repairsUse welding and fabrication skills on equipment repairsConsistent work supporting an active fleetSafety-focused maintenance environmentOpportunity to use and expand your mechanical skillsWhat You'll Work On You'll diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy-duty truck and equipment systems, including:EnginesTransmissionsBrakesRear axlesGearboxesDriveline componentsSprings and suspension componentsLighting systemsFluid systemsOther mechanical truck componentsWhat You'll Do As a Ready Mix Diesel Mechanic, you'll:Perform mechanical and light electrical inspectionsDiagnose equipment problems using job orders, inspections, and operating observationsComplete preventive maintenance, including brakes, fluids, lighting, and lubricationRepair or replace failed or damaged mechanical componentsTroubleshoot and repair brake system issuesService trucks and related equipmentChange oils and fluids and perform routine lubricationRecord services and repairs accurately for vehicle maintenance recordsPerform welding and equipment repairs as neededOperate cutting torches, gas welding equipment, power drills, power saws, air tools, impact guns, chipping guns, and other shop equipmentFollow required PPE and safety proceduresMaintain a clean and organized shop and work areaWork efficiently to meet repair timelinesCommunicate, improve, and follow company safety policies What We're Looking ForRequired High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experiencePrevious truck mechanic experienceWelding experienceAbility to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to lift and/or move up to 50 poundsAbility to climb, bend, stoop, and walk as requiredClass A or Class B CDL or ability to obtain oneAbility to work safely and effectively in a shop environmentPreferred Technical school or diesel/heavy-duty mechanical trainingAdditional heavy-duty truck or fleet maintenance experienceSpanish-speaking or bilingual skillsSchedule Full-TimeMonday–Friday (Some Saturdays)Day ShiftExact start and end times will be provided by the hiring team.Why Join the Team?
