Physician Recruiter

This position leads the strategic recruitment of physicians and advanced practice providers to meet community needs at the organization’s regional facilities. This includes the entire process from marketing, screening, interviewing site visits, contract negotiations and onboarding. Operationalizes and maintains compliance with all national laws and guidelines. Leads the implementation and compliance with medical staff development plans and is a key participant in the development and implementation of these plans. Leads implementation and monitors compliance with FHP plans for recruitment of physicians and advance practice providers. Leads marketing efforts to notify potential candidates of the organization’s opportunities through various media, specialty meetings, mailings, and other recruitment outlets and evaluates best options for successful recruitment. Directs and/or performs all aspects of the recruitment process, from early contact to strategic contract negotiations. Follows organization’s recruitment policies and procedures and performs all recruiting activities within the context of legal, economic and political considerations. Interacts regularly with attorneys and recruitment agencies representing physician and advance practice provider clients. Maintains in depth working knowledge and understanding of physicians, their practices, and national trends affecting physicians, advance practice providers and healthcare organizations, and local and national legislative issues. Develops recruitment policies and procedures, along with others. Engages parties from operations, Medical Staff Services, medical leadership, and business planning to plan, implement, and evaluate such improvement efforts. Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Foundation Health Partners with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core service behaviors each and every day. Must possess a strong knowledge of business and/or healthcare as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, public relations, marketing or related field. Must possess a strong knowledge and understanding of physician recruitment or physician relations as normally demonstrated through five (5) years of physician recruitment, physician relations, healthcare, public relations, business or marketing experience. Requires supervisor experience typically achieved with one (1) year of management/leadership experience. Requires supberb negotiation skills and project management skills. Inspires out of state physicians to relocate to an area through enthusiasm and provision of relevant information about the region and organization. Demonstrates advanced understanding of planning and marketing concepts. Able to envision and plan for the future. Leads teams effectively and interfaces with all levels of management. Demonstrates superb verbal and written communication with ability to speak professionally to small or large groups.
