Job Opportunity

Position: PCU/MedSurg FLOAT RN

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a PCU/MedSurg FLOAT RN. In this role, you will have the opportunity to float between the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and the Medical-Surgical unit, providing essential nursing care to patients across departments.

Shift Details

• Shift Type: Night Shift (3x12-Hour)
• Hours: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Scheduling: No Block Scheduling; Every Other Weekend and Holiday Required
• Start Date: ASAP

Patient Care and Staffing

• Unit Capacities: 25 beds on each floor
• Patient Ratios:
  
  
  • PCU: 5 patients per nurse
  • MedSurg: 7 patients per nurse

Qualifications

• Experience:
  
  
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
  • Charge experience preferred
• Certifications: Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Charting System: Experience with any community hospital charting system; Meditech is preferred.

Skills Required

• Telemetry monitoring
• Understanding and management of dysrhythmias
• Blood product administration
• Central and peripheral line care/management
• Management of cardiac drips (non-titration)
• Oxygen administration and non-invasive airway management
• Isolation precautions and use of PPE
