Financial Operations Director/Manager | Renewable IPP | NYC The Company: We have partnered with a leading renewable energy IPP in their search for a Financial Operations Director/Manager. Founded over a decade ago, with private-equity backing, they manage a 500+ MW portfolio across the U.S., with a focus on commercial, industrial, and community solar projects. The company is dedicated to advancing the clean energy transition through responsible investment and long-term partnerships. The Role: They are seeking a Director of Financial Operations to lead and optimize the back-office financial infrastructure supporting the project-based business model. This role is central to the execution of construction loan closings, capital calls, covenant compliance, and fund-level reporting. The ideal candidate brings experience from project finance, renewable energy, or banking, with a strong understanding of how large-scale infrastructure deals get financed and operationalized. A background in solar or similar project-based industries is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities: Quarterback loan closings for construction-stage projects across our fund portfolio—liaising with lenders, internal teams, and external counsel. Manage capital raise operations, including fund-level tracking, drawdowns, and reporting to investors. Maintain strong relationships with bank partners, coordinating smooth execution of financial transactions and compliance obligations. Oversee covenant monitoring and reporting across 125+ active projects, ensuring alignment with fund and lender requirements. Partner with finance, legal, and asset management teams to support the closing process for new projects and ongoing capital structuring. Build and maintain dashboards and systems to track capital movements, project cash flows, and fund-level performance metrics. Act as a cross-functional quarterback during high-stakes moments—such as capital deployment milestones and construction loan closings. Drive automation and integration efforts across finance, asset management, and investor reporting workflows. Requirements: 7–12 years of experience in financial operations, project finance, or structured credit—preferably from a bank, energy company, or project-based fund. Deep understanding of construction financing, infrastructure loan structures, and back-office execution. Experience managing financial operations across multiple funds and complex capital stacks. Familiarity with renewable energy or solar development is a strong plus. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, high-transaction environment.
