Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Location: Nashville, TN

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for our Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Our TICU unit features 20 beds with patient ratios of 2:1, and sometimes 1:1, depending on patient acuity. You will provide compassionate care to patients and their families while utilizing advanced technology and equipment, ensuring safety and adherence to hospital protocols.

Responsibilities

• Administer high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ICU environment.
• Utilize advanced clinical skills and technology, including ventilators, CRRT, and EVDs.
• Perform critical procedures such as central line insertions, lumbar punctures, and chest tube insertions.
• Monitor patient status and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation in Meditech.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory.
• ICU nursing experience is essential, with advanced skills in trauma care preferred.
