Sibley’s campus is also home to Grand Oaks, an assisted living residence; a medical building with physician offices and ambulatory surgery and imaging centers; and the new patient tower with 200 spacious, private rooms. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate nurse Vascular Access Nurse to join our clinical team. In this role, you will be responsible for the assessment, insertion, maintenance and management of vascular access devices, including PICC lines, midlines and peripheral IVs, while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care. Preferred candidates will have experience in nursing infusion, mid-line and PICC placement, and a solid understanding of venous access devices and the vascular system. Proficiency in IV placement, central line care, blood draws, and medication management—including IV administration and anaphylaxis response—is highly valued. The ideal candidate will demonstrate independent judgment, excellent time management, and the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Schedule: Full Time, 36 hours per week. 12-Hour Day shifts (Flexible schedule) Requirements: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington, D.C. Certification in Vascular Access (VA-BC) preferred. Expectation to obtain within 18 months of hire. Advanced knowledge of ultrasound technology and vascular anatomy. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
