Sr. Director, IT Security and Infrastructure Operations

Responsibilities

• Lead the IT Security and Infrastructure Operations teams, setting strategic direction and operational priorities
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive IT security policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard information assets
• Oversee the design, deployment, and management of network, server, and storage infrastructure to ensure high performance and scalability
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses, responding proactively to emerging threats and incidents
• Manage security audits, compliance initiatives, and regulatory requirements related to IT operations
• Own the enterprise security strategy/roadmap, with measurable objectives and KPIs (e.g., risk reduction, control maturity)
• Maintain and mature a risk management program (risk register, treatment plans, exception process)
• Collaborate with executive leadership to align IT infrastructure and security strategies with business objectives
• Drive continuous improvement in operational processes, incident response, and disaster recovery planning
• Mentor and develop IT staff, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth
• Cultivate and sustain strong vendor relationships, overseeing contract negotiation, performance management, and ensuring vendors meet agreed-upon service levels
• Drive continuous operational improvement and implement automation strategies to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness of IT operations
• Generate capacity plans and budgets that meet the growth, scalability, and changing needs of the business, optimizing costs across cloud and on-premises infrastructure
• Develop, implement, and maintain IT policies and procedures based on industry-standard best practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure needs
• Regularly communicate with stakeholders to provide updates on IT initiatives, gather feedback, and ensure alignment with business objectives
• Stay abreast of emerging technology trends and innovations, evaluating their potential impact on the organization and integrating relevant advancements into the IT strategy

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with 15+ years of experience in IT management, with a strong focus on security and infrastructure operations
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCNP, ITIL) highly preferred
• Proven leadership abilities, exceptional communication skills, and experience managing cross-functional teams
• Deep knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, network architecture, and cloud technologies
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven mindset of proactive continuous improvement
• Efficient independent worker with ability to focus and drive for results
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to handle multiple tasks
• Strong commitment to ethical standards
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.)
• Ability to travel up to 10%
• Salary range for this position is commensurate with experience
