Memory Care Director | Lutheran Home

Lead a memory care program built around real relationships, not just routines. $90,742-$123,030 annually. Full-time, Arlington Heights, Illinois.

What you'll do

• Lead daily operations of the memory care neighborhood, including staffing, scheduling, and quality of care
• Build individualized care and engagement plans for each resident based on their history, preferences, and abilities
• Plan and oversee a full calendar of life enrichment programming designed for people living with dementia
• Supervise, train, and coach memory care and life enrichment staff
• Meet regularly with families to share updates, answer questions, and address concerns
• Track outcomes and lead quality improvement efforts to keep the program compliant and effective
• Manage the department's budget and supplies

What you'll need

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, gerontology, social work, psychology, or a related field
• 5+ years of leadership experience in senior living, healthcare, or dementia care
• A track record of successfully leading a memory care or specialized dementia program

Preferred:

• Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) or Certified Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Care Trainer (CADDCT)
• Therapeutic Recreation certification
• Experience with resident engagement technology platforms
• Grant writing or fundraising experience
