Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated healthcare professionals for a position with flexible scheduling options, including both 3x12 hour and 4x12 hour shifts. Candidates must be ready to work daytime shifts from 07:00 to 19:30 and are expected to fulfill weekend commitments every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Minimum Experience: 1 year
• Required Certifications: BLS, PALS
• Licensure: North Carolina or Compact license required (must be in hand)
• Previous Charge Experience: Preferred
• Patient Ratio Experience: Preferred
• Charting System Experience: Preferred (Epic)
• Community Hospital Experience: Preferred
• Travel Experience: Required

Essential Skills

• End-Tidal CO2 monitoring
• Accessing/Managing Ports
• Acute/Chronic renal failure management
• Administration of blood and blood products
• Administration of chemotherapy
• Anti-seizure medications
• Intravenous (IV) vasopressors
• Management of chest tubes
• Multi-system organ failure management
• Ventilator management
• Patient assessment and monitoring
• Pediatric care experience (including CVICU and PICU)
• Participation in rapid response teams
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions accepted)

Unit Details

• Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Infants, Adolescents, Pediatrics
• Daily Census: 24 patients
• Team Support: Includes IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and others
• Special Procedures: Open chest closure, chest exploration

Additional Information

Compliance requirements include a supervisory reference, and all candidates must be responsive in providing necessary documentation. The attendance policy allows up to three absences per 13-week contract, and excessive tardiness or no-shows could lead to contract review.
