Procurement Sourcing Specialist Salary Range: $65,000 - $97,000 Location: Prince George, BC or Vancouver, BC As a Procurement Sourcing Specialist at Drax, you will develop and implement sourcing strategies that maximize value while ensuring governance and risk management. You will conduct effective tendering, negotiation, contract management, and manage supplier relationships, evaluate third-party spending, and collaborate with internal colleagues to support the Procure-to-Pay process and policies. Key Responsibilities Lead the sourcing and contracting of events related to operations and maintenance services and goods for Drax’s pellet manufacturing plants in Canada and the USA. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to develop scope and lead every step of sourcing and contracting. Support procurement goals, focusing on cost savings and other agreed-upon financial and non-financial targets. Oversee the contract handover process to the designated contract owner, ensuring smooth transition and clear understanding of scope and execution framework. Assist with day-to-day operational tasks related to the purchase-to-pay process, coordinating with the P2P Outsourcing team. Facilitate supplier onboarding as the procurement liaison between stakeholders and the onboarding team. Qualifications Preferred: Degree (not essential). In-depth understanding of contract terms and conditions and local/regional legal framework. Strong negotiation skills and ability to proactively challenge stakeholders. Demonstrated success negotiating contractual terms with minimal support. Ability to manage supplier conflicts during contract duration. Ability to drive change in stakeholder relationships and gain business support for innovative ways of working. Self-starter with a "can-do/will-do" attitude, driven and committed to results. Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams and geographies. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, engaging stakeholders at all levels. Resilience and ability to navigate complex challenges and ambiguity. MCIPS or Project Management qualification, or progress towards it, is highly regarded. Benefits Competitive wages.
