Assignment Overview

Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a travel position in an Intensive Care Unit. The role requires expertise in cardiovascular ICU care, including post-open heart surgeries and acute cardiac conditions. An ideal candidate has experience managing complex patient cases in a critical care environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, including post-surgical and critical care cases
• Perform titration of various medications including dopamine, dobutamine, and vasopressin
• Utilize specialized intervention equipment such as IABPs, Impellas, and ECMO
• Interpret telemetry and manage ventilated patients effectively
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including charge nurses, PCTs, and respiratory therapists
• Ensure adherence to protocols and provide compassionate patient care

Qualifications

Required:

• BLS Certification (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience
• Proficient in interpreting monitor strips and patient assessments
• Strong skills in critical thinking, teamwork, and communication

Preferred:

• ACLS Certification
• CCRN Certification a plus
• Experience with post VAD and heart transplant patients
