Application Support Specialist (Central Florida Candidates ONLY)

Job Type: Full-Time The Opportunity Logic Springs Technologies is seeking a highly organized, self‑motivated, and detail‑oriented Application Support Specialist . This role is critical to the stability of our remote laptop ecosystem. You will work closely with key technical leads to ensure seamless support operations, rigorous inventory management, and flawless device lifecycle management. This is not just a support role; it is an opportunity to build structure within the team. Key Responsibilities 1. Device Lifecycle & Imaging Management Manage the end‑to‑end lifecycle of rugged laptops using Endpoint Central (ManageEngine) for deployment, monitoring, and remediation. Perform precise laptop imaging, cloning, and provisioning to ensure all devices are configured correctly before shipment. Maintain and update master images and software packages to ensure consistency across the fleet. Execute configuration management tasks, ensuring compliance with security policies and application requirements on every device. 2. Logistics & Inventory Control Manage the physical shipping, packaging, and receiving of hardware assets. Ensure all devices are securely packed and tracked via logistics software. Maintain strict accuracy in spare inventory logs—tracking, issuing, and receiving components to ensure no downtime due to missing parts. Coordinate with vendors and shipping carriers to resolve logistical issues quickly. 3. Technical Support & Troubleshooting Provide Tier 2/3 support for OEM applications , drivers, cell modems, and laptop hardware issues. Utilize remote access tools like TeamViewer to troubleshoot client issues efficiently while maintaining security protocols. Manage endpoint security by monitoring and updating AVG Antivirus solutions across the fleet, ensuring no vulnerabilities are left unpatched. Respond to Help Desk tickets with speed, accuracy, and professionalism, ensuring SLAs are consistently met. 4. Organization & Process Structure Maintain meticulous documentation for all support procedures, imaging standards, and inventory logs. Identify gaps in current workflows (e.g., shipping errors, imaging bottlenecks) and propose structured solutions to improve team efficiency. Prioritize tickets and tasks logically, ensuring critical issues are resolved first while maintaining a clear queue for routine requests. Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for imaging, shipping, and support workflows. Required Qualifications & Traits Self‑Motivated & Proactive: You don’t wait for instructions; you identify what needs to be done and do it. You take ownership of your workload and follow through until completion. Extreme Attention to Detail: You catch errors before they happen. Whether it’s a driver version mismatch, an inventory count, or a shipping label, accuracy is your standard. Responsive & Reliable: You are available and responsive during business hours and on‑call rotations. You understand that in support, speed matters. Technical Proficiency: Endpoint Management: Hands‑on experience with Endpoint Central (ManageEngine) or similar MDM/EMS tools. Imaging & Cloning: Proven experience creating, deploying, and managing disk images/clones for Windows laptops. Hardware & Logistics: Strong understanding of laptop hardware components, packaging standards, and shipping/receiving logistics. Security Tools: Experience configuring and managing AVG Antivirus and other endpoint security solutions. Remote Support: Proficient with remote desktop tools like TeamViewer . Configuration Management: Understanding of system configuration, registry edits, and policy management. Preferred Skills Previous experience in team leadership, team organization, or management is a strong plus. We are looking for someone who can help structure the team’s workflow and mentor others. Experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM) or Field Service roles. Familiarity with cellular connectivity troubleshooting (SIM cards, modems, signal strength). Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell/Bash) for automating imaging or deployment tasks. Experience working with ruggedized hardware (e.g., Panasonic Toughbook, Getac, Zebra).
