Acute Radiology Technologist

Position Summary This full‑time clinical radiology technician position is located in Mesa, Arizona and operates during evening shifts. The role performs prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with department policies, procedures, and protocols at Banner Baywood Medical Center and Banner Heart Hospital, ensuring optimal patient care and high‑quality imaging for timely interpretation. Core Responsibilities Perform radiographic procedures and analyze images in line with departmental guidelines, using independent judgment and established methodologies. Educate patients and families about the procedure, risks, and prevention measures, demonstrating professional conduct and fostering teamwork. Produce high‑quality images and prepare accurate documentation for prompt interpretation. When applicable, perform prescribed invasive or interventional procedures in accordance with policies. Execute equipment quality‑control measurements, troubleshoot issues, and notify appropriate personnel to maintain performance. Maintain a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors, adhering to all safety policies. Handle ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to radiologic practice, preserving confidentiality of work information. Support efficient department workflow by performing assigned duties, monitoring inventory, and ensuring uninterrupted service. Minimum Qualifications Certificate or diploma from an approved or accredited radiology school. National certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and current state licensure (Arizona). BLS (Basic Life Support) certification. At least 1 year of clinical experience in radiology. Strong communication, human‑relations, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Additional related education or experience in outpatient imaging, OR, endoscopy, fluoroscopy, X‑ray, portable imaging, or emergency radiography.
