Infectious Disease Physician

Northwell Healths Division of Infectious Disease is seeking staff Physicians to join their team at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, NY. Practice Info

• Division of Infectious Disease offers comprehensive care to patients with acute or chronic infections and is a leader in infectious disease control
• Peconic Bay Medical Center (PBMC) is a 144-bed non-profit community hospital
• PBMC serves as the premier healthcare hub for over 250,000 residents of eastern Suffolk County and Long Islands North Fork
• PBMC features the areas only Interventional Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, a Level III Trauma Center, and a NYS-Designated Stroke Center

Responsibilities

• Manageable Workload: Average of just 8 new consultations per day, typically presenting with highly manageable, lower-complexity community-acquired and hospital-acquired infections
• Dedicated inpatient consultation and follow-up
• One designated weekly clinic day for outpatient consultations and continuity of care
• Provide high-impact care to a small, established panel of HIV patients within the clinic setting

Compensation

• Salary: Commensurate with Experience
• Full-time clinical base xihmbke compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125,000 to $750,000

• Dedicated inpatient consultation and follow-up, balanced by one designated weekly clinic day for outpatient consultations and continuity of care
• On-call expectation is just one weekend per month—and frequently less, thanks to the consistent support of two dedicated per diem rotators
