Drill Rig Operator

Drill Operator(Archer Wright JV) is currently seeking a Drill Operator for the (TSENC/I-26 Downtown Connector), in (Asheville, NC).The Drill Operator will perform tasks involving operating a drilling machine at the site of work to construct, maintain, or repair highway, heavy civil, or building type structures; equipment operators are also expected to assist in other duties around the jobsite as needed; operates equipment in compliance with company operating safety, policies, and procedures.Our employees are built to succeed. We are dedicated to career advancement by rewarding hard work and initiative.Join the team that is building the infrastructure where you work and live!ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Operates a Drilling Machine to complete tasks such as drilling rock, shale, and/or other materials; stops and starts portable air compressorMust have knowledge of operating procedures as it pertains to loading and unloading materialsMay oil, grease, service, and make normal maintenance adjustments on equipment; perform daily safety and maintenance checks; completes paperwork and other documentation as requiredMay be some vibration associated with equipment operation; jolts and vibrations may result from operating equipment; loud noise when operating equipmentMay perform other related duties as requiredQualifications3-5 years of operating experience preferredRequires ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladderMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditionsRequires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properlyPossess a strong work ethic and desire to learnRequires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periodsMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
