BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Human Resources. The incumbent is responsible for writing and editing OCFO position descriptions in accordance with established guidelines; preparing written evaluation statements, and documentation of position management studies and competitive levels to ensure application of sound classification and position management principles for a variety of professional, administrative and technical positions, Duties include, but are not limited to: assisting with planning and implementing reorganizations and realignment of positions for operational effectiveness and adherence to regulatory compliance; advising on classification impact when changing or creating duty assignments; reviewing requests for personnel and position actions to determine impact on position classification and position management matters; responsible for inputting classification related transactions into the automated personnel system; and designing and generating reports. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Two (2) years of specialized experience applying compensation methods, including wage surveys, market analysis, and wage practices to support grade and salary alignment; applying classification principles and position management concepts; and communicating effectively in writing and verbally with staff at all levels. Experience that provides the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for this position.
