Emergency Medicine physicians - looking for an ongoing Louisiana assignment without call or floating?

This locums opportunity in Kaplan, LA offers an open-ended coverage need, no call, no floating, and a 30-60 day estimated privileging timeline.

SCP is IMLC approved, creating an additional licensing pathway for qualified physicians. Candidates with Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine training may be considered based on facility requirements.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Step into an ongoing Emergency Medicine coverage need in Kaplan, Louisiana. The facility is seeking an MD/DO prepared to provide Emergency Department coverage and perform moderate and deep sedation.

Physicians with EM, FM or IM training may qualify, with additional certification requirements applying to physicians who are not Emergency Medicine trained.

PHYSICIAN REQUIREMENTS
  • MD or DO
  • Board Certification Required for Presentation
  • Approved EM, FM or IM Residency Training
  • Active Louisiana Medical License Required for Presentation
  • Louisiana Controlled Substance Registration
  • DEA with Louisiana Address + Required Schedules
  • ACLS, ATLS + PALS required if not EM trained
  • Moderate + Deep Sedation competency
  • 2 Years of Case Logs
  • 2 Years of CME Documentation
  • Prior Travel Experience Required
  • Fellowship Not Required
CREDENTIALING SNAPSHOT

Candidates should be ready to move with their credentials. The estimated hospital privileging timeframe is 30-60 days.

For presentation, providers must have their state license, board certification, active state-specific DEA, and applicable controlled substance registration in hand.
