Survey Technician – Entry-Level Opportunity

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, learning new technology, and gaining hands-on experience on large construction projects. No extensive surveying experience is required—this role is designed for someone who is eager to learn and grow within the surveying and construction industry.

• Collecting field measurements using modern survey equipment.
• Assisting with locating and documenting utilities such as water, sewer, storm, electrical, and communication lines.
• Working directly on a large construction project alongside experienced survey professionals.
• Recording field data and helping organize project documentation.
• Uploading and transferring information for project reporting.
• Performing basic quality checks to ensure information is accurate.
• Communicating with survey crews, construction teams, and project managers.
• Learning how survey data is used to support engineering and construction projects.
• Helping maintain survey equipment and ensuring it remains in good working condition.

• Interest in surveying, construction, engineering, or outdoor work.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Comfortable working independently while following direction from experienced team members.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license.

• Any experience working in construction, engineering, landscaping, utilities, or other outdoor field environments.
• Exposure to GPS equipment, surveying, CAD, or engineering technology.
• Interest in growing into future Survey Technician or Crew Chief roles.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Taylor, MI.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
