Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Service Electrician to join our team. The Service Electrician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in commercial and light industrial environments . This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers while delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in commercial and light industrial settings

• Perform service calls, repairs, and maintenance on electrical systems, equipment, and components

• Install, repair, and replace wiring, panels, breakers, outlets, lighting, and other electrical devices

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documents

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and identify potential issues before they escalate

• Ensure all work complies with NEC codes, local regulations, and OSHA safety standards

• Communicate clearly with customers and facility personnel regarding issues, solutions, timelines, and costs

• Complete service reports, document work performed, and maintain accurate records

• Maintain service vehicle inventory, tools, and equipment in an organized and safe condition

• Respond to emergency service calls as needed, including after-hours when required

• Coordinate with dispatch, project managers, and other team members to ensure efficient service delivery

• Maintain a clean and professional appearance and represent the company positively in the field

• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required

• Journeyman Electrician license preferred (if required by state/local regulations)

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in commercial or light industrial electrical service, maintenance, or repair

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting techniques, NEC code requirements, and safety standards

• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently

• Experience working in occupied commercial or industrial facilities preferred

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (company vehicle may be provided)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

• Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and climb ladders for extended periods

• Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying environmental conditions

• Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and service vehicles
