Commercial HVAC Service Technician

Pay Range: $28-$40/hour (DOE) Job Description Commercial HVAC Service Technician (Mid-Senior Level) Winchester, VA Full-Time Pay Range: $28-$40/hour (DOE) We are seeking experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technicians to join our service team in the Charlottesville area. This is a mid-to-senior level role ideal for technicians with strong technical expertise and hands‑on experience servicing a wide range of commercial and industrial HVAC systems. Key Responsibilities Service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including: DX equipment Gas-fired and electric heating systems Air handlers and duct systems Temperature control systems (24V, 1-10V) Start up systems, monitor operation, read gauges, and make adjustments Diagnose equipment issues and repair or replace components Perform scheduled preventative maintenance Inspect and service piping and pumping systems Report unusual conditions or system concerns to supervisors Follow all safety protocols and company procedures Preferred Experience Chillers (air-cooled and water-cooled; scroll, screw, or reciprocating) Electronic controls on packaged HVAC and chiller systems Chilled/hot water systems and VFD-driven pumps Boilers, VAV systems, water-source heat pumps, and CRAC units DDC, pneumatic, and modular control systems Experience working on systems up to 100 tons Qualifications High school diploma or GED (trade school preferred) EPA Universal Certification (required) HVAC Journeyman’s License (required for higher levels) Valid driver’s license with clean driving record Strong troubleshooting and communication skills Technician Levels & Pay Structure CST Level 3 $32.00-$36.00/hr EPA Universal required ~5+ years of HVAC experience Entry commercial level (Journeyman not required) CST Level 4 $32.00-$40.00/hr EPA Universal required 7-10+ years commercial experience Journeyman license preferred CST Level 5 $36.00-$40.00/hr EPA Universal required 10+ years experience Master HVAC license (VA) + WV license required What We Offer Competitive hourly pay ($28-$40 DOE) Company vehicle, tablet, and uniforms (as applicable) Relocation assistance (if needed) Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off, holidays, and sick leave Bonus opportunities and career advancement paths Technical support hotline and mentorship from senior technicians Employee discounts (retail, tech, automotive) Why Join Us?
