What You'll DoJob Description (includes, but not limited to):
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment that encourages children's growth and development, while ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met
- Develop and implement a daily schedule of engaging learning activities to meet the diverse needs of children, maintaining a balance throughout the day
- Build strong relationships with families through effective communication, sharing child progress, interests, and any challenges that may arise
- Create monthly curriculum and weekly lesson plans using TN ELDs to drive academic excellence
- Maintain accurate and informative child portfolios, presenting them during bi-annual parent-teacher conferences
- Interact with children in a patient, empathetic, and understanding manner
- Assist with daily routines such as diaper changing and/or toilet training
- Meet physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 50lbs, standing or sitting for extended periods, and walking/running upstairs/downstairs
- Keep the classroom clean and organized by sanitizing toys, surfaces, and disposing of trash
- Log daily reports and upload activities to the Procare app
- Participate in ongoing training and mandatory monthly staff meetings
- Passion and patience for children

- Experience working with the youth and/or ECE
- Second Language
- Knowledge of TN-ELDs
