Job Duties

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized tools and observational analysis.
• Create individualized treatment strategies that cater to both immediate goals and long-term needs in communication, cognition, or swallowing.
• Deliver dedicated speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication effectiveness, language mastery, fluency, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians, to develop integrated care plans that prioritize the patient's needs.
• Provide educational resources to patients and their families to foster progress beyond the therapy setting.
• Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Maintain thorough and timely records as per state, federal, and organizational protocols.
• Engage in ongoing education and peer sharing to stay ahead of advancements in the field.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be completed within 30 days of hire.
