Senior Accountant

Large Family Office in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Accountant for a full-time position!

Responsibilities

• Perform daily bookkeeping activities for multiple individuals, trusts and legal entities, including transaction entries and reconciliations
• Initiate and process domestic and international wires
• Track and maintain accurate classifications of credit card expenses
• Generate reports for tax department for tax return preparation
• Support Payroll Manager as needed for household payroll processing
• Track and process payments related to real estate operations, private investments, household expenses, charitable donations and gifts
• Assist with capital call and distribution processing for private equity fund investments, including calculating each member's pro-rata contribution, identifying funding sources, and initiating wire transfers for review and approval by CFO
• Tracking real estate expenditures and capital improvements
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and investment activity
• Maintain organized accounting files in accordance with internal policies

Qualifications

• 8+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping and general ledger fundamentals
• Experience processing wires xhyhwjd and payments, including confirmation of wire instructions
• Exceptional attention to detail, discretion, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft
• ExcelAbility to manage multiple priorities and multiple entities simultaneously
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• Exposure to household payroll processes preferred
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, in-office environment
