What You'll Do Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture Monitors the production process and collects hot-rolled steel samples as needed. Performs physical and dimensional tests on steel samples. Compare test results to material specifications. Performs calibration verification on test equipment. Effectively communicate with others about possible production issues, concerns, and needs Ensure equipment inspection reports are filled out each shift Responsible for continuous improvement such as suggesting improvements in work methods and procedures Ability to troubleshoot work related problems using job knowledge, experience, and by communicating with others Responsible for daily housekeeping duties including but not limited to immediate work area What You'll Need Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift which may include weekends and holiday Able to work well and efficiently in teams and cross-functional activities Must have an excellent work ethic, attention to detail, communication and organizational skills Previous experience in Quality Control preferred Ability to work in non-climate controlled environment Basic Math Skills Skills with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Work, Excel, etc.) is an asset Moving, carrying, lifting, objects in excess of 50 lbs Your Education High School Diploma or GED preferred We are CMC, a Fortune 500® company at the leading edge of our industry.
