Front Desk/Tenant Assistant

This is an excellent opportunity for people entering Social Service/Chemical Dependency/Mental Health/Criminal Justice fields AND/OR those looking for flexible scheduling. Evening and night shifts available. Hours worked from 11pm to 8am qualify for shift differential of $0.50 per hour.

Park Place of Bemidji serves formerly homeless single adults, often with active chemical dependency and/or mental illness.

The Front Desk/Tenant Assistant will be the first person with whom tenants, guests, suppliers and others have contact when coming into the building. Duties include: granting admittance into the building, directing those who enter to correct areas of the building, and monitoring people's whereabouts while in the building; enforcing house rules; maintaining information about people's times of entry and exit; answering the building's telephone system and directing calls; monitoring the video surveillance system for the building; and simple cleaning in the public areas.

This position requires a person who has interpersonal skills necessary to tactfully and professionally deal with tenants and the general public. Applicants must hold a high school diploma/GED equivalent and be able to pass and maintain Minnesota Background Study clearance. Valid driver's license with clean driving record is preferred.
