SUBSTITUTE TEACHER

REPORTS TO: School Building Administration PAY TYPE: Daily Rate, Non-Exempt, Classified, Non-Supervisory PAY RATE: Starting at $110 / day (more information can be found in the attachment) BENEFITS: Not eligible for benefits SCHEDULE: Flexible; As-needed; Follows school calendar This position will remain posted until filled. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise students in absence of their original teacher Follow lesson plans and instructions provided by the classroom teacher Maintain a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administrators Manage classroom behavior and student engagement Perform other duties as assigned by the School Principal or staff

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education, Training, and Experience Required: High School Diploma Indiana Substitute Teacher Permit (can be obtained through our office) College coursework in education or a related field is preferred Prior experience in a school or child care setting Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics: Displays positive and enthusiastic attitude Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work as a team with other staff Displays dependability, punctuality, and adaptability Ability to follow instructions and adapt to various classroom environments

WORKING CONDITIONS
