Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse - $2,697 per week

TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Float Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Newburgh, Indiana.

UNIT: OBSERVATION (MEDSURG)
CLINICAL INTERVIEW

Weekly hours: 36 (will accept 48s upon request)

Required Certs: Must have current active compact license. AHA BLS and NIHSS.

Minimum Experience REQUIRED: Two years of strong Med/Surg, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience.

Float Requirement: First to float within skillset. Deaconess Midtown (IN) campus (8 miles apart) & potential to float to Deaconess Henderson (KY – 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.

On Call/Call Back Requirement: N/A

Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday.

Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)

Patient Population: Chest pain, abdominal pain, flank plank, CVA/TIA, generalized weakness/awaiting placement/geri-psych placement.
Skillset: PIV insertion, stables drips (heparin, lasix, protonix), Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills!

Unit Information: 32 beds. Ratio: Days 1-4:5; NOCs 1:5-7; Excellent LPN and CNA support. CN rarely takes patients on days, but takes assignment on NOC shift.
Unit Strengths: Excellent teamwork with support of fantastic LPNs and CNAs.
Hard worker, resilient and manages change well, social candidates
Scrub Colors: Navy blue scrubs - No competing health systems or agency logos

GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed
