Located north of the Twin Cities metro area in beautiful Forest Lake, MN, the building is managed by Ebenezer. We offer 80 senior units with a mix of Independent/Assisted Living as well as Memory Care and Care Suites. Position Summary We are looking for a Resident Assistant who will provide personal care to improve and/or maintain the senior assisted living/memory care residents’ physical and emotional well‑being for our busy senior living community in Forest Lake, MN. One will receive on‑the‑job medication‑passing training and be expected to pass medications. Schedule 56 hours per two weeks Evening shift. Offers evening shift differential pay Every other weekend Full generous benefits package offered Responsibilities Assist residents with personal cares including but not limited to: bathing/showering, foot and fingernail care, shaving, dressing, assistance with hearing aids and/or glasses, hair care, feeding, toileting, escorts. 1‑2 person transfers and use of mechanical lift. Provide health‑related services as directed: assist with treatments per individualized care plan under the direction of the Registered Nurse (includes blood glucose monitoring). Administer medication or assist with this under the direction of the Registered Nurse (includes insulin injections). Take and record temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Perform specified home services: laundry service per schedule, follow cleaning schedule for the shift worked, deliver meal trays, assist with meal service in dining room. Assist with preparing for and/or facilitating resident social and recreational activities as assigned and as requested. Observe residents and report status to appropriate staff, notify appropriate staff of changes in physical and/or emotional conditions such as change in attitude or mood, loss of appetite, change in weight. Serve as a mandated reporter and report any concerns regarding potential mistreatment. Offer pertinent observations and input. Respond appropriately to resident and building emergencies. Required Qualifications Less than 1 year experience. Ability to use technology in the form of computers, handheld devices, cell phones, and fax machines. If under 18 must be on the MN NA registry and the site must be able to manage restrictions that prevent them from passing medications or operating a mechanical lift independently. Preferred Qualifications 1‑3 years experience.
