These are seen throughout our interactions with customers, within the company, and in each of our employees’ everyday lives.Benefits Offered:401(k) including company matchingHealth insurance (medical, dental, and vision)Flex Saving Account and Health Reimbursement AccountCompany-provided Term Life InsuranceCompany-provided Short-term and long-term disability insurancePaid HolidaysPaid time offTuition ReimbursementParental LeaveProfit SharingResponsibilitiesDescription of Responsibilities:Identify items for replenishment, issue RFQs, evaluate offers, negotiate with suppliers, enter and maintain POs, track shipments, and approve invoicesMaintain team logs for all open PO’s, RFQ’s, supplier NCR’s, incoming vessels, etc.Strengthen relationships with key suppliers and support new supplier qualifications/onboardingPartner with buyers to complete supplier evaluations and quarterly scorecards covering quality, on-time delivery, pricing, and responsivenessMaintain replacement costs for all items across all districts and publish updates to the organizationMonitor market conditions affecting supply and cost – including mill capacity and lead times, import activity, tariffs and Section 232 – report trends to leadershipTrack base price and surcharge movement for key suppliers and brief sales staff on a regular cadenceDevelop and maintain inventory classification to optimize stock investment and prioritize replenishment of critical items to prevent stockoutsBuild and maintain sourcing reports and dashboards using Excel and ERP dataKeep supplier documentation current – mill certifications, NDAs, letters of compliance, quality approvalsSupport the ERP transition and train other team members on the new ERP systemBe familiar with the steel making process and Tube Supply/Industry specifications, and work with our metallurgist to revise internal specs as neededDevelop and propose continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our Supply Chain processesOccasional travel to mills and vendors as requested by managementAny other responsibilities as requested by managementQualificationsRequired Skills and Experience:Bachelor’s degree required (Supply Chain preferred)7+ years of Supply Chain or Procurement experience preferred, ideally in steel, metals or other industrial distribution sectorHigh proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and working with large data setsWorking knowledge of ERP systems and pricing/cost data structuresStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate cost data into clear guidance for salesAbility to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environmentDetail-oriented with a high standard for data accuracy and documentationBilingual preferredJob SummaryLocation : Name: Tube Supply - HoustonLocation : Address: 4669 Brittmoore rd.Location : City: HoustonLocation : Postal Code: 77041Job ID: Category: Purchasing
