DIETITIAN PER DIEM

Registered Dietitian – Corona, CA Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager and Director of Nutritional Services, the clinical dietitian provides daily in‑patient nutritional care through patient screening/assessment, nutrition consultation, and nutrition education for in‑patients and out‑patients. Other duties include policy and procedure development; staff in‑service and competency education; daily supervision of diet office staff; support of department performance improvement; and participation in routine meetings and interdisciplinary rounds. Responsibilities Screen, assess, and provide nutritional care to in‑patients. Conduct nutrition consultations for in‑patients and out‑patients. Deliver nutrition education to patients and families. Develop and update policies and procedures related to nutrition services. Design and conduct staff in‑service and competency education. Supervise diet office staff and daily functions. Support department performance improvement initiatives. Attend routine meetings and participate in interdisciplinary rounds as requested. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or a related field. Current BLS (CPR) certification. Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR); must pass the exam within 3 months of hire. Previous experience in a clinical dietitian role preferred.
