Per Diem Staff Pharmacist - Westerville, Ohio

This per diem pharmacist role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering thorough consultations and personalized medication management for patients with chronic, advanced disease states.

Schedule:

Tuesday 2/3, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Thursday 2/5, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Tuesday 2/10, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Thursday 2/12, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Friday 2/13, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

Provide expert consultation and medication management for patients with complex chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and multiple sclerosis.
Deliver compassionate care to a patient base primarily composed of Medicare/Medicaid recipients and low-income individuals, many with low health literacy.
Utilize strong communication skills to ensure patients understand their medication regimens, promoting adherence and safety.
Apply your retail and specialty pharmacy knowledge to manage 8-15 medications per patient effectively.
Operate pharmacy software (Pioneer Rx) efficiently to support patient care and pharmacy operations.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

Proven experience in retail pharmacy with a preference for specialty pharmacy expertise.
Strong disease state management and consultation skills essential.
Ability to engage compassionately and patiently with patients facing complex health challenges.
In-depth knowledge of the top 200-400 retail medications.
Comfort working with patient populations requiring detailed education and support.
