A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support a dedicated instructional classroom setting for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time role spans from August 26, 2026, to June 3, 2027, offering the chance to work closely with a small group of students in grades 3 and 4. The position is based near Chicago, IL, with a daily schedule from 8:40AM to 3:25PM, totaling 37.5 hours each week.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Special Education licensure and certification in Illinois
• Previous experience in a school-based setting is essential
• Strong knowledge of curriculum adaptation and behavior management for diverse learning needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with students, staff, and families
• Ability to create an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and modify individualized education plans (IEPs) for five students
• Deliver engaging instruction that aligns with each student’s IEP goals and grade-level standards
• Track student progress, providing regular updates and documentation
• Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, general education teachers, and administration
• Maintain a structured, positive, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning
• Communicate proactively with parents and guardians
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insightful input regarding student growth
