Registered Nurse - Cardiac Stepdown

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Stepdown unit provides specialized nursing care to patients with cardiac conditions requiring close monitoring and intervention. The RN evaluates patient status, implements care plans, and collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients upon admission, collecting medical history, vital signs, and diagnostic results.
• Develop and execute individualized care plans under physician guidance.
• Monitor cardiac patients continuously, utilizing telemetry and other advanced equipment.
• Administer medications and treatments following established protocols.
• Educate patients and families regarding condition management and post-discharge care.
• Document patient progress and interventions accurately in medical records.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Valid RN license for New Hampshire or a Compact state license required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Minimum of three years of nursing experience, with strong telemetry skills in cardiac care.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
