Medical Assistant

We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented medical assistant to support our healthcare team in providing outstanding patient care. In this role, you will assist with a variety of clinical and administrative duties, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. This position will be Monday through Thursday Key Responsibilities: Prepares patients for the provider by verifying medical information, updating medical history and measuring vital signs. Prepares and organizes all paperwork and pervious exams/reports/labs for radiologist prior to patient’s appointment Follows up on orders, appointments, referrals, and follow up visits. Assist physician by helping with procedures which may include assisting nursing in pre/postop, assisting the technologist in the procedural area with setup and room turnover. Assist physicians during angiographic and interventional procedures by preparing and maintaining sterile trays and other equipment, practicing sterile technique, and passing instruments and supplies to the radiologist. Maintains efficient patient flow throughout the clinic experience. Instructs, escorts, and prepares patients for clinic consults, wound checks, and minor invasive procedures. Collect and prepare lab specimens for testing Helps check in, check out patients, assist with triaging phone calls. Update and maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including HIPAA Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care May assist front office staff, when necessary, assist in opening clinic in the morning prior to patients being seen. Qualifications: Completion of a medical assistant training program or have at least 2 years of work experience in related profession. A Medical Assistant (CCMA or CMA) certification is desired but not required.
