2nd Shift Maintenance Technician$25/hour minimum, plus $2 second shift pay premium, plus Incentive Pay available.At our proprietary lab in De Pere, WI, we manufacture quality eyewear for our eye care center patients at over 140 locations across the North and Midwest. Ensure preventive maintenance is completed on all lab equipment. Set up new lab equipment. Perform Optical Lab facility and grounds maintenance.Duties and ResponsibilitiesOptical Lab MaintenanceUnderstand each machine's design and functionDiagnose and repair Optical Lab equipmentComplete weekly preventive maintenance on machinesComplete all daily job duties to include calibrations, blade changes, filter changes, etc.Inspect, operate and test equipment to diagnose machine malfunctionsDocument all repair and maintenance actionsCommunicate with vendors to follow up on parts orders and equipment diagnosisOptical Lab Facility MaintenancePerform routine preventive maintenanceEnsure building systems operate efficientlyPerform all building maintenance to include HVAC, plumbing, lighting, electrical, landscaping, snow removal, etc. to meet standardsTraining and ImprovementAttend training classes for new equipmentEngage in on-going training with Equipment LeadRemain current on new product informationLearn to prioritize responsibilities to ensure exceptional internal and external customer serviceMaintain Safe Work EnvironmentFollow all company and lab policies and guidelinesAdhere to safety guidelines and OSHA regulationsPerform stretching before reporting to workstationMinimum Knowledge, Experience & Skills RequirementsHigh School Graduate or equivalentPreferably 2 years of equipment maintenance experienceProven ability to repair sophisticated equipmentOptical experience a plus, but not requiredComputer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, data entry, etc.)Strong written and oral communication skillsInterpersonal skillsCritical thinking and complex problem-solving skillsAnalytical and decision-making skillsSelf-motivated and detail orientedAbility to multi-task and prioritizeValid driver's licenseEssential Functions & Work RequirementsAbility to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization through written and two-way verbal communicationAble to read and write at a high school graduate levelAble to sit or stand for extended periods of timeAble to operate various office equipment and Optical Lab equipmentDemonstrate physical agility (bending, climbing, twisting, squatting, lifting, pushing, reaching, etc.) on a repetitive basisAbility to lift an average of 25-35 pounds on a repetitive basis and up to 75 poundsAbility to operate a pallet jackAbility to see (Near, Distance, Color, and Depth Perception)Manual and finger dexterity, as well as hand/arm steadinessAbility to grip and hold itemsGood eye and hand coordinationAbility to work in a fast-paced production environmentAble to travel independently to support Company objectives and personal developmentAbility to perform work in various departments within the lab on business needsThese statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by teammates assigned to this job classification.
