Respiratory Therapist

Location: UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies - Loveland, CO Department: MCR RT Work Schedule: Full Time, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $33.82 - $50.73 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience. This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option. Minimum Requirements BSRT in respiratory therapy from an accredited program. Internal candidates may hold an ASRT if a BSRT is in progress. RRT National RT State Preferred: Advancement to Level III in the STAR clinical ladder program. State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (RT). NBRC - RRT. 3 years of respiratory therapy experience in an acute care setting. Instructional teaching experience, both formal and informal. BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. Preferred: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS), and Neonatal and Pediatric Specialist (NPS). Responsibilities Provides top‑of‑scope practice in a direct patient care environment utilizing respiratory therapy protocols and best practices to promote optimized care. Values and effectively partners with a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional care outcomes. Prioritizes wellness, a patient perspective and evidence‑based practice. Models proficiency through pre‑cepting those new to healthcare and/or UCHealth. Welcomes new knowledge in a fast‑paced, innovative clinical environment. Contributes to secure safety and quality at the point of care. Practices in technologically complex clinical settings managing ventilator integration to adaptive pulmonary support and airway management throughout multiple levels of care. Engages in clinical ladders encouraging internal growth and promotional opportunity through implementation of various clinical and process‑improvement projects at the unit, division, regional or system level.
