Job Description

Job Summary:
The Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for sterilizing and preparing surgical instruments and medical equipment to ensure quality and safety standards are maintained. This role supports clinical teams by providing sterile supplies necessary for patient care and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and supplies following infection control protocols.
• Inspect equipment and instruments for damage or contamination, documenting any issues.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, loads, and process validations.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure proper handling and delivery of sterile items.
• Adhere to safety standards and regulatory guidelines, including certification and licensing requirements.
• Participate in ongoing training and compliance activities, including completing required modules during orientation.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid California State License with Nursys verification uploaded within the last 2 weeks.
• Possess current BLS certification, with an active AHA or ARC credential.
• At least 2 years of Healthcare or Sterile Processing experience.
• Demonstrate weekend availability and flexibility for day shifts.
• Fulfill local travel compliance requirements and maintain valid supporting documentation.
• Maintain and provide references from recent supervisors within the past year.
