About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience preferred License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Must-Have: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required Description: Located in a tight-knit community. Serves a diverse population with various healthcare needs. The role involves delivering coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Responsibilities include supervising and directing the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, coordinating care with other disciplines, and utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. Essential functions include collecting relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyze assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develop plans that prescribe interventions to attain outcomes. Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes. Identify outcomes for the patients' situations. Collaborate with a team of patients, families, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. Provide learning opportunities for patients and family members as well as team members. Directly provide health information to patients, families, and treatment team. Participate in discharge planning to provide continuity of care. Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of healthcare team members. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Compliance with safety and wellbeing policies, including vaccination requirements, is essential. E-Verify participation is confirmed for employment eligibility. The unit features a specific bed count and staffing requirements. Weekend coverage is essential, ensuring adequate personnel on each shift. Utilizes advanced medical equipment and engages in various special procedures. Maintains a collaborative environment with care partners and interdepartmental teams. Team members work closely with specialized departments to enhance patient care. Additional information includes the presence of on-site specialists and a focus on high-acuity patients. Appropriate scrubs are navy blue.
