Location: York, PA

Shift: 1st Shift Mon-Fri schedule

Pay: $19/hour

Job Description

The forklift operator will utilize forklifts, primarily standing with some sitting, to move materials for various purposes including loading trailers and flatbeds, moving materials to and from the production area, and managing inventory. The role involves using high-reach trucks to access materials from high shelves and employing RF scanners and tracking systems. The operator will work from manufacturing information, material lists, requisitions, and both written and oral instructions. Responsibilities include preparing shipments of completed equipment, accessory, and service parts while ensuring proper loading of products for shipment.

Responsibilities

• Utilize forklifts to move materials for loading, unloading, and inventory purposes.
• Use high-reach trucks to access materials from high shelves.
• Employ RF scanners and tracking systems for inventory management.
• Prepare shipments of completed equipment, accessory, and service parts.
• Check quality of materials and workmanship, verifying conformance to standards.
• Maintain required records and documents.

Essential Skills

• Experience with forklift operation, ideally both standard and high-reach.
• Proficiency in material handling and inventory management.
• Ability to use RF scanners or similar equipment.
• Capability to lift 50+ pounds.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with high-reach forklifts is preferred.
• Familiarity with sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks.

Work Environment

Work in a semi-climate controlled facility that maintains a fairly clean environment with moderate noise levels. Safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection are required. Enjoy a first-shift schedule with available hours from 5am to 1:30pm or 9am to 5:30pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
