This position involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients within a Progressive Care Unit setting. The role requires utilizing specialized nursing skills to deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring safety and adherence to organizational policies and professional standards.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice or a valid compact RN license, with BLS certification. Experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months is preferred.
• Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs.
  • Formulate and revise patient care plans based on assessment data and input from patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Implement and coordinate patient care according to physician orders, policies, and standards.
  • Delegate tasks and supervise activities of licensed and non-licensed personnel.
  • Evaluate patient progress and response to interventions, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Document all assessments, plans, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
  • Participate in research activities, quality improvement initiatives, and mentorship roles when applicable.
  • Interact effectively with all levels of healthcare staff, patients, families, and external contacts.
