We are also starting to provide parts for some SpaceX projects. This is an on‑site role for a motivated Mechanical Inspector to join our team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early‑career Mechanical Inspector who wants to gain hands‑on experience in a dynamic job shop manufacturing environment. The position will support senior engineers, machinists and production staff in developing, improving, and documenting manufacturing processes. Candidate must be comfortable working in a high‑mix, low‑volume production environment. We are conveniently located off of 495/LIE from exits 65, 66 or 67. Job Duties and Responsibilities In-process and final dimensional inspections First Article Inspections Prepare reports including discrepancy reports, first article, first piece and final inspection reports. Compile information and complies with our AS9100 QMS and customer requirements. Review operator work‑instructions, shop travelers, inspect per print and/or work instruction, and sign off when approved. Skills / Requirements Minimum 3–5 years Mechanical Inspector experience Capable of inspecting close tolerance machined parts and assemblies Must be capable of using a wide range of inspection tools and equipment, including micrometers, calipers, height gages, and optical comparators Must read blueprints Must read, write and speak English Must be able to regularly stand and lift 20 lbs, occasionally lift up to 50 lbs CMM, Calypso, and/or Vision System experience a major plus Knowledge of AS9100 a plus Must be a US person as defined by (ITAR) The International Traffic in Arms Regulations Schedule Shop open 6am to 10pm, Monday through Friday.
