Nurse Practitioner Opportunity At El Paso Orthopedic Specialists

El Paso Orthopedic Specialists is seeking a skilled and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing orthopedic team. You will work alongside two orthopedic surgeons and two advanced practice providers, primarily supporting outpatient clinic operations with additional inpatient and surgical responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity to practice at the top of your license within a collaborative, patient-centered group known for high-quality orthopedic care in the El Paso region.

Position Highlights

• Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Setting: Primarily outpatient clinic with some inpatient rounding and first-assist surgical duties
• Sites: Rotating among three clinic locations
• Team Structure: Join a dedicated team of two orthopedic surgeons and two experienced APPs
• Environment: Fast-paced, supportive orthopedic practice with strong mentorship and autonomy

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive orthopedic evaluations in the clinic setting
• Manage follow-up visits, pre- and post-operative assessments
• Assist surgeons with procedures as needed, including first-assist responsibilities
• Perform inpatient rounding and coordinate care with the surgical team
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Provide patient education and care coordination
• Document thoroughly in the EMR and communicate effectively with patients, staff, and physician partners

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Current NP certification
• Active or eligible Texas NP license
• Previous orthopedic experience preferred, but motivated new graduates with surgical interest are welcome to apply
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work independently
