About the Position

Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in acute care hospital telemetry License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS & ACLS Must-Have: - Minimum 1 year current acute care hospital telemetry experience - BLS and ACLS certifications Description: Telemetry unit with 32 beds. Staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4-8 registered nurses, 2 certified nursing assistants, and 1 sitter during the day shift. Night shift has similar patient ratios of 4 or 5:1. Equipment includes a GE telemetry system. Electronic medical record system is Meditech. Typcial procedures performed on the unit include IV and foley catheter placements, as well as chest tube removals. Ideal candidates are outgoing, team players, and willing to take initiative. Experience caring for post-operative CABG patients is preferred. Candidates with Meditech experience will be considered first. This is a competitive market, and the unit offers opportunities for growth and experience.
