Journeyman Electrician

ElectricianThe Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in a manufacturing environment in accordance with local and national codes.Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures.Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical schematicsInstall conduit (EMT, Rigid, PVC), wiring, panels, lighting, and electrical devicesTroubleshoot electrical systems and components to identify and resolve issuesEnsure all installations are compliant with the NEC (National Electrical Code) and local building codesPerform routine maintenance on electrical systems and componentsAdhere strictly to OSHA and company safety standardsAssist in maintaining electrical parts stocking levels to ensure proper parts are on hand.Requirements & QualificationsValid TDLR Journeyman Electrician license (TDLR - Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation) or better3+ years of commercial electrical experienceStrong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)Must have and maintain a valid driver's licenseMust be able to operate mobile equipment (aerial lifts, scissor lift, boom lift, etc.)Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and perform quality installationsAbility to work in outdoor environmentsComputer literate: Microsoft Applications and CMMS softwareStrong manufacturing knowledge and understanding of the procurement/supply chain processKoppers Inc. and its subsidiaries are equal opportunity employers.
