Cloud Data Engineer

Cloud Data Engineer Apex Systems has an opening for a 100% remote cloud data engineer with an enterprise retail client. This resource will join a team supporting the back-end engineering of several inventory search features of a consumer application used during a customer's in-store experience. Our client is looking for skilled data engineers with experience in Java+ Springboot, Apache Solr for scaling enterprise search, and Apache Beam for defining and executing data processing pipelines, including ETL, batch and stream processing. Location: 100% Remote (CST schedule) Duration: 12+ month contract- expected to extend. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required Minimum of 5 - 8 years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and delivering software solutions in Java (preferred) or Python Solid knowledge of Solr, Apache Beam, Java & Springboot, ATG/Endeca (preferred but not required) Working experience with Streaming and batch processing tools like Apache Beam (preferred), Spark etc. Understanding of Big Table and Big Query. Experience in Spring boot framework and microservices development. Working experience in Google Cloud on cloud functions, specifically developing and deploying google dataflow Experience with all aspects of Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, etc. as well as microservices development Advanced problem-solving, domain technical and analytical skills Advanced system estimation, planning, and execution skills Background Check: Yes Drug Screen: Yes Notes: 100% remote 12+ month contract - expected to extend for 3+ years. Preferred to be located in CST/EST/MST time or open to working a CST schedule every day.
