Key Responsibilities of the RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit

• Provide primary nursing care in the ICU to a critically ill patient population
• Manage and care for patients with respiratory failure, post-surgical needs, and cardiac conditions
• Perform PEG tube feedings and care for tracheostomy patients
• Titrate vasopressors and manage sedation and pain control drips
• Utilize CVC/PICC/Midline lines

Requirements of the RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit

• Active IL license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications
• Experience in caring for sedated, ventilated patients and using various ICU drips
• Ability to troubleshoot and manage RT equipment such as vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and High Flow
