Service Mechanic Full Time - Hourly/Time Clock Sm. Engine Mechanic New Berlin, WI, US 6 days ago Requisition ID: 1702 Salary Range: $22.00 To $24.00 Hourly Responsibilities/Duties: Diagnose and repair small engine (2-stroke and 4-stroke) Perform routine maintenance and tune-ups Order and install replacement parts Maintain shop organization, cleanliness, and safe working conditions. Provide excellent customer service and explain repairs clearly Uphold a positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the mechanic team. Other duties as assigned by management. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong knowledge of small engine repair, 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines, and power equipment systems (Certification a plus) Ability to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems Comfortable using a variety of shop tools, diagnostic software, and repair manuals. Excellent communication skills with a strong commitment to customer service. Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple work orders efficiently. Ability to work independently and as par of a team Credentials and Experience: Prior experience as a Service Mechanic, Equipment Technician, or similar role preferred. 1-3 years of hands‑on experience in small engine repair or related field Forklift operation experience is a plus – certification provided Physical Demands Employee must possess the ability to lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing between 40-50lbs Required to bend, stoop, kneel, reach and climb to perform work May be required to stand, walk and use hands‑fingers for long periods of time May be required to look at the computer screen for long periods of time Flexible scheduling (Open Saturdays till noon, closed Sundays!)
